Former Tottenham player – Jamie Redknapp highly appreciated the contributions of midfielder Victor Lindelof to MU’s achievements in recent matches.

MU lost the entire pair of central defenders in a 2-2 draw at home to Sevilla in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Europa League 2022/23. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez both left the field with injuries. Martinez has broken the fifth bone of his right foot and is out for the rest of the season, while Varane has an Achilles injury.

The Argentine player is out of the season, while Varane only has the opportunity to attend the FA Cup final against Man City in early June. Without Martinez and Varane, midfielder Victor Lindelof has played extremely well in the recent matches of the Red Man.

“In addition, he has situations where he chooses positions, tackles, saves at a high level. He had a clearance right in front of the goal line. You cannot take Lindelof out of the MU squad at the moment. I don’t care about Maguire, obviously Lindelof has to start. He was completely unbelievable.”
