Aaron Wan-Bissaka was a childhood Man Utd fan when a family photo was revealed

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is closing in on a move to Manchester United, the team he supported as a boy.

The 21-year-old full back who broke into the Crystal Palace side last year will finally get to wear the famous red shirt he wore as a kid growing up in South London.

And we can reveal that the young full back has always been a Manchester United fan.

He poses on his mum Elizabeth’s knee in a throw-back photo with his brother Kevin and his dad Ambroise.

Both Aaron and Kevin, four years his senior, are wearing red Manchester United shirts from the late 1990s.

The family shared the touching photo with us when they kindly invited us inside their South London home earlier this year.

Wan-Bissaka’s former manager Colin Omogbehin who founded South London club Junior Elite, reckons the defender is a perfect fit for United.

Omogbehin said: “I look at Manchester United who are on the up.

“They have a youngish squad and he’d fit into the way they want to play.

“In Ole Gunnar Solskjaer there is a good young boss who has a history of dealing with young players.

“When Ole retired from playing he worked with United’s younger squads, so will know how to bring through players of Aaron’s type.

“That would be perfect for him. He’d play every week — or certainly get a lot of games to keep developing.”
