“Quite Literally a Bull…”: Ryan Reynolds Once Hilariously Exposed Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Inability’ While Shooting ‘Red Notice’

Dwayne Johnson has made a name for himself in Hollywood as a top-notch action hero. His films, even if on the lighter side, have him throw down a punch or two, while at times he has actively taken up the role of an action hero and more recently a superhero. In 2021, Dwayne Johnson starred in Netflix’s action comedy Red Notice alongside ‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds and one of DJ’s best friends, Gal Gadot.

The movie saw a lot of action sequences with all three lead actors getting in on the fun. As with these action stunts, there can be a lot of breakages on the sets. So when the cast sat down to answer a few questions on IMDb, Ryan Reynolds revealed who among them was the most destructive on the sets during the fighting scenes.

Ryan Reynolds said Dwayne Johnson broke the most stuff on sets

The Rock has been part of many action movies in his career and many times as a lead actor. Red Notice was the latest edition to that list, as he shared the spotlight with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. DJ is good friends with both Reynolds and the Wonder Woman actress and in the promotion of the movie, all stars spoke highly of each other while having fun at the same time.

In an interview with IMDb where they answered some ‘burning’ questions, the three actors discussed a number of topics. They talked about who was the best dancer and which actor was the funniest off the camera. However, one of the first questions was who broke the most stuff on set during scenes.

Reynolds was first up and said, “Definitely, DJ did. He’s quite literally a bull at a China shop.”  Reynolds also mentioned that Gadot was elegant and called his own fighting style “chicken sh*t.” However, DJ said they were equally responsible, before giving himself a slight advantage in the debate due to him having “broken more hearts.”

The Rock’s physique and WWE background may have contributed to his being the one behind breaking more stuff on the sets. The Brahma Bull is known to have fun behind the scenes with his co-stars and his camaraderie with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds was evident throughout this interview.

All three actors had fun during the promotion of the movie with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, often taking hilarious digs at The People’s Champion. Fans also loved to see these three stars share the screen and would hope to see them together again in the future. For the time being, we do know that it is better not to be around Dwayne Johnson when he is filming fight scenes, all thanks to Ryan Reynolds.
